Selling on amazon.co.jp
Japanese mixes three scripts, writes without spaces between words and has two widths of every Latin letter and digit, and a title shows each of those choices.

What has to change
- Many product names are katakana loanwords from English. A digital kitchen scale is usually a "デジタルキッチンスケール", even though the native word "はかり" exists.
- Japanese is written without spaces between words, so word boundaries come from the scripts themselves and not from the space bar.
- Letters and digits come in full width and half width: "5kg" and "5kg" look alike and are different text. Prices are in yen, with no decimals.
What a translator gets wrong
Full width digits and letters from a Japanese keyboard. "5kg" looks right on screen and is not the same text as "5kg".
The same title, both ways
Before
Nordhaus Digitale Küchenwaage 5 kg, Edelstahl
On amazon.co.jp
Nordhaus デジタル キッチンスケール 5kg ステンレス製
Three katakana loanwords carry the title, "製" marks what it is made of, and "5kg" is in half width characters.
Written as an illustration of the difference. For a real before and after from the engine, see the home page.
