What has to change
- British spelling: "colour", "grey", "aluminium". An American listing carries "color", "gray" and "aluminum", and each one marks it as written elsewhere.
- The everyday name can change number. In Britain a kitchen scale is usually "kitchen scales", plural.
- Prices are in pounds sterling, not euro or dollars.
What a translator gets wrong
Assuming an English listing is finished because it is in English. The American spellings stay in, and the listing reads as an import.
The same title, both ways
Before
Nordhaus Digital Kitchen Scale 5 kg, Stainless Steel, Gray
On amazon.co.uk
Nordhaus Digital Kitchen Scales 5 kg, Stainless Steel, Grey
Two small edits to an American title: the plural "scales" and the British "grey".
Written as an illustration of the difference. For a real before and after from the engine, see the home page.
