What has to change
- English is the default listing language and Arabic is accepted too, the same arrangement as amazon.ae.
- In Arabic the noun comes first and every description follows: "ميزان مطبخ رقمي" is word for word "scale kitchen digital".
- Prices are in Saudi riyals.
What a translator gets wrong
A Latin brand name or model number dropped into an Arabic title. Right to left text with left to right pieces inside it can display in a different order from the one it was typed in.
The same title, both ways
Before
Nordhaus Digital Kitchen Scale 11 lb, Stainless Steel
On amazon.sa
Nordhaus Digital Kitchen Scale 5 kg, Stainless Steel
Starting from a US title: still English, the store default, with the capacity back in kilograms. In Arabic the same title would open "ميزان مطبخ رقمي", scale first.
Written as an illustration of the difference. For a real before and after from the engine, see the home page.
