Selling on amazon.com.mx
The same language as amazon.es with different everyday words, a different plural "you" and prices in pesos.
- Listing language
- Mexican Spanish
- es-MX
- Prices in
- MXN
- Not a euro market
- Amazon marketplace ID
- A1AM78C64UM0Y8
- Amazon's published identifier
What has to change
- Everyday vocabulary splits from Spain: a phone is a "celular", not a "móvil", and a computer is a "computadora", not an "ordenador".
- There is no "vosotros". The plural "you" is "ustedes", so copy that addresses shoppers the way Spain does reads as foreign.
- Prices are in Mexican pesos, not euro.
What a translator gets wrong
Reusing the amazon.es listing because it is already Spanish. The grammar is fine and the vocabulary places it in Madrid.
The same title, both ways
Before
Nordhaus Báscula de cocina digital 5 kg con app para el móvil
On amazon.com.mx
Nordhaus Báscula de cocina digital 5 kg con app para el celular
Starting from the Spanish listing: the scale is a "báscula" in both countries, the phone is not.
Written as an illustration of the difference. For a real before and after from the engine, see the home page.
